In consultancy work, has acquired knowledge and skills, but also trust from business partners that has allowed independent involvement in such work. During that time, has led a whole series of projects in the region, participated in their development and implementation, consequently there hardly exists a larger company with whom he hasn’t worked, either in the position of developing employee competencies or on projects involving reorganisation and implementation.
Since October 2010, has been a consultant – interim manager for clients in Croatia and the region, and also does public speaking appearances at conferences, participates on the Internet network, writes articles and blogs in magazines and newspapers and web sites. He is the owner of the company Karmen poslovno savjetovanje d.o.o.
Independent work is based on cooperation with renowned international companies for the development and utilisation of know-how (see strategic partners) and cooperation with renowned Croatian trainers and consultants in drawing up and implementing projects.
Basic focus is his work based on many years of experience such as:
- Interim Management – assuming management functions in particular companies for a specified period of time
- Executive coaching – advising managers at high positions on an individual basis
- Fact Based Management – particular system for analysing, defining and determining goals, redefining processes in companies or on the market)

During the business career, Željko completed a one and a half year course at the Zagreb Business School, passed IFL Stockholm – Top Executive International – 12 month course, gained a number of diplomas and certificates for running top quality training and the use of tools. He is a member of the Croatian Association of certified Supervisory board members – HUCNO.
